Year 59 and counting

Well that took a log time!

Time between post I mean.
Turned 59 on Friday the 19th.
Pretty quiet day as I took the day off and waited for the HVAC guy to
show up and do a check on the heat pump.
Heat pump is ok and I'm ok so all is well.
thanks to Catherine and her girls for remembering me today with a call
and a happy birthday wish. They are family I chose.

Thanks to my beautiful wife and daughter for loving me and taking care of
me in spite of my neanderthal ways. They are the best.

We'll see how long it takes me to post again.

I went over to the MVA earlier this week to start the process for a CDL (commercial drivers licence) and low and behold I couldn't pass the eye test.

This of course means a trip down to our Costco and an eye exam.

I need glasses!

I really never understood just how expensive these are. In my case I spent over $400 on two pair of glasses and the exam. Pretty big chunk of change.

Just turned 53 a few days ago. Doesn't feel that much different from 52 or 51 for that matter.

I bought myself an "ipod touch" and can see why people get attached to the things.

From the software to the profile and the way it reacts to your touch, the thing just works.

Like most Apple products.

I'm sold.

Getting new carpet installed today on our stairs.
